Impact Assessment of Diverse EV Charging Infrastructures on Overall Service Reliability

A higher penetration of EVs may pose several challenges to the power systems, including reliability issues. To analyze impact on a detailed EV charging infrastructure is considered in this study. All possible locations (home, workplace, public locations, and commercial fast chargers) different levels (level 1, level 2, DC charging) are considered, seven infrastructures determined first. Then, each using two widely used indices, i.e., loss load expectation (LOLE) energy (LOEE). The mixed portfolios also analyzed by considering cases, which included equal share all based consumer preferences. performance well-known test system (Roy Billinton Test System) case. results have shown that fast-charging stations worst impact. In addition, it was observed lower impacts despite having fair stations.
